Clifton is served by one public education system, the Clifton Independent School District. Colleges within commuting distance are Baylor University, McLennan Community College and Texas State Technical College, all in Waco; Hill County Junior College, in Hillsboro; Tarleton State University, in Stephenville; Temple Junior College, in Temple; and Mary Hardin-Baylor, in Belton. CLIFTON I.S.D.Since the early 19th century Clifton ISD has been proud of its rich tradition and commitment to excellence in all educational endeavors. During these changing times the district continues to move forward to provide quality education for all our students.
Clifton ISD is fully accredited by the Texas Education Agency. Based on the rating established through the AEIS, CISD is a recognized district, with three campuses recognized and one exemplary. The district serves 1250 students in grades pre-kindergarten through grade 12 on four campuses; elementary, intermediate, middle school and high school. The district offers articulation classes and dual credit classes with community colleges and universities in the area. The districts employs 110 professional personnel and 73 auxiliary staff. |
