Nature and Recreation

Included within 67 acres of park area, most on the banks of the Bosque River, are five public tennis courts, picnic and barbecue areas, baseball and softball fields, basketball courts, a public swimming pool, walking trails and playgrounds. The CLIFTEX Theatre provides weekend visitors with current-release movies while golf enthusiasts may play at nearby Bosque Valley Golf Course.

Lake Whitney, Meridian State Park, the Bosque and Brazos Rivers, and an abundance of wildlife make the area an outdoorsman's dream. For the nature lover Clifton is home to over 80 species of birds including the golden cheek warbler.
