Health Care

Clifton is the health care center of the Bosque County area.

Goodall-Witcher Hospital provides modern facilities with 40 beds. Three nursing homes add 500 beds to the overall health care system. Eleven doctors and three dentists call Clifton home.

GOODALL-WITCHER HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION

Goodall-Witcher Healthcare Foundation is the results of a dream begun by two Bosque County physicians in the late 1930s. That dream, which belonged to Drs. Van Goodall and Seth Witcher and their wives, became a reality in 1939 with the formation of a medical clinic and 10-bed hospital. Through the years the hospital was continually updated to keep abreast of the latest medical technology, while more doctors and staff members were added in order to provide expanded services.

Today, the Foundation includes Goodall-Witcher Hospital, Clifton Medical Clinic, Goodall-Witcher Home Health Agency and Goodall-Witcher Nursing Facility.

The Foundation and all of its entities are Medicare approved. A dedicated, well-trained staff of nurses serve the needs of patients. Goodall-Witcher Healthcare Foundation prides itself on providing and maintaining the highest quality and greatest standard of care in modern facilities.

The laboratory is approved by the College of American Pathologists and offers clinical and anatomical pathology in the areas of chemistry, blood banking, hematology, serology, urinalysis, coagulation, blood gas therapy and microbiology.

Radiology/X-Ray offers three major divisions: Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound. Computerized axial tomography (CAT) scanning for patients is provided at the facility, as well as mammography services. The mammogaphy unit is FDA approved an certified by the American College of Radiology.

Respiratory and physical therapy treatments are available, as well as obstetrics and nursery services, among the busiest of all departments at the hospital. The hospital's OB services range from natural childbirth to C-sections--whatever methods fit the needs of the patient and baby.

CLIFTON MEDICAL CLINIC

Clifton Medical Clinic offers outpatient medical care for patients of all ages. A professional, well-trained staff of medical doctors and nurses work together with specialized technicians to provide the latest in medical care to all patients seeking treatment for themselves and their family.

Family nurse practitioners provide care in conjunction with physicians in patient treatment, physical exams, patient education, nursing home care and home visits.

Other services provide health status assessments, immunizations, family planning and emergency health care.

The clinic's licensed staff covers the areas of family/general practice, general surgery, internal medicine, radiology and anesthesiology.
